My Story

Geiranger fjord, norway, 2023

My story begins when my dad purchased a small shortwave radio around 1997. I broke it to find more channels to tune in by spinning the dial. I spent many days trying to figure out what it was, how it worked, and what its internal mechanisms were. Later in college, I devoted time to building small electronic toys, and I even burned my hand with a soldering iron.

During that time, I had heard about computers but never got a chance to explore them. Then, one of my uncles from my mother's side bought a computer and kept it in a dust-free room. To enter that room, we had to wash our hands; it was a captivating experience!

That's where it all began. Later, at university, I fell in love with programming. I participated in various programming competitions, created small software and games, and I remember that customizing different Winamp skins was incredibly enjoyable. I set up LAN networks in the hostel and played the Road Rash video game.

I earned a bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Rajshahi University in Bangladesh. I achieved first-class, first-position honors for my bachelor's and was nominated as a faculty list member. Additionally, I received a university scholarship during my bachelor's studies.

My professional career started in 2010 with an internship. I spent six years working in different companies in Bangladesh, most of which were outsourcing companies. I dealt with E-Commerce, SEO, website development, ERP, web application development, and single-page web apps. I developed problem-solving skills, team management, meeting deadlines, and managing external clients. In 2016, I decided to move from Bangladesh to Sweden, which proved to be a completely different experience.

In Sweden, I began my career at a startup company and was introduced to technical product ownership. I learned how to write technical user stories, manage backlogs, prioritize tasks, and align them with business goals.

Later in my career, I joined a large startup @VolvoGroup in Sweden as a product manager. Here, I sharpen my product management skills, developing product strategies and product goals, writing user stories, managing product backlogs, engaging with stakeholders, analyzing customer data, releasing and field-testing software, conducting field studies, collaborating with multiple teams, and interacting with customers.

Here I learn a different experience, how to develop a software that is connected with hardware and safety critical. I had to go the field to run the autonomous vehicle and explore the findings.

On my free time, I'm working on a simple app (Golpo.se) where user can create children picture book with Generative AI. It is a fun project that taught me a lot about machine learning and overall generative model.

As a person, I enjoy solving problems, exploring new ideas, reading, and contemplation. I strongly believe in having a growth mindset.

Currently, I reside in Gothenburg, Sweden, with my wife and two kids. I am also eager to connect with new people. Let's have a conversation!
